We are pleased to introduce our Tire Dealer Conference chairmen for ITEC 2012. Ray Evans will be serve as the conference chairman for the tire dealer, aftermarket and distribution educational program. Henry (Hank) Inman will be the conference vice chairman assisting in the solicitation and selection of the papers. Both Mr. Evans and Mr. Inman have extensive backgrounds in the tire dealer from manufacturing through marketing and sales.

Conference Chairman

Ray Evans has over 44 years’ experience in the tire industry, half of which was with BF Goodrich in key technical, marketing, and sales positions followed by ten years with Continental General.  His last experience was with Titan International where he was Executive Vice President of Engineering, Marketing, and Sales and where he still serves as a consultant.

Ray has made numerous presentations and held workshops at tire dealer meetings, conventions, and the Clemson Tire Conference.

Ray is currently serving as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Akron Area YMCA, a trustee for the Stow CIC (Community Improvement Corporation), and is on the Business Advisory Council at Kent State University.

After serving in the US Navy, Ray graduated from Penn State in Agricultural Engineering and later from Kent State with an MBA.

Ray and his wife, Jan, reside in Stow, Ohio.

Conference Vice Chairman

Henry J. “Hank” Inman is a former newspaper writer and retired corporate public relations executive with the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.  Hank has written for Akron Life & Leisure magazine, Modern Tire Dealer, Rubber & Plastics News and Tire Review.  He is author of the book, Rubber Mirror, Reflections of the Rubber Division’s First 100 Years, and has edited four novels.  He is president of Cuyahoga Falls-based Goldfinch Communications, Inc.  In his spare time, he and his wife, Karen, enjoy hiking, biking and spending time with their four grandsons.
