Doug Major is currently ‘Director – Product Support’ for Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd., located at their Torrance, CA office. Doug holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Salford in the UK and is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. During his long career with Dunlop (and subsequently Sumitomo Rubber Industries), Doug held various positions in Engineering, Tire Research, Development and Testing in the UK prior to transferring to Dunlop Tire Corporation in the USA in 1988 as Director of Product Development.
