The right city and the right time for a working trade show environment.
►Cleveland, Ohio, features lower airfare and hotel rates as well as lower costs for food and entertainment than
most major US cities such as Orlando, Chicago, Southern California and Las Vegas. (Runzheimer International
Guide To Daily Travel Prices)
Akron, 35 miles to the south, is home to home to major technical centers for Goodyear, Hankook, Kumho and
Bridgestone. Cooper Tire in Findlay, Ohio, is 90 miles to the west. Major production facilities in southern Ohio,
Indiana, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Virginia are within 250 miles of Cleveland.
When it comes to the aftermarket part of the business, there are scores of tires being sold at thousands of
establishments within 500 miles of Cleveland—probably in the neighborhood of some 60% of all the tires that
are sold in the U.S.
Cleveland Hopkins Airport, literally right next to the I-X Center, is an international facility allowing people to visit
the area and attend ITEC easily without the inconvenience of two or three connecting flights.
The ITEC facility, Cleveland’s I-X Center, compares excellently with any other exhibit hall anyplace in North
America.
►September is traditionally the second slowest retail sales month of the year, and “down time” in the
manufacturing cycle so retailers, dealers and tire manufacturing personnel can spend one, two or all three
days at ITEC and learn how to stay competitive, reduce costs, produce better products and sell more tires.
► ITEC is a working tire show focused on one thing: TIRES.
ITEC features commercial, some retread business, industrial tire business and OTR tire business—the
parts of the market that other shows and conferences do not address.
ITEC helps tire manufacturers focus on what really happens in the manufacturing of tires—the science,
technology, commitment and persistence that goes into turning an idea into the tire of the future.
ITEC is a working tire show embracing all aspects of the tire industry. |
